I recently picked up the new Rimmel London's Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation so I wanted to do a full review and really test this product and let you guys know if I love it or would leave it in the dust!
The Stay Matte collection comes in 8 different shades. I picked up #200 Soft Beige and #203 True Beige. My skin tone is kind of in-between shades right now, but I was able to mix the two and come pretty close to my skin tone.
When I applied the foundation to my face I didn't get an overwhelming smell. Now, if you smell it straight from the tube it's not the best, but what foundation smells good? The texture of the foundation is really nice. Soft, creamy and the coverage was super smooth. I used about a pea size amount on my foundation brush and was able to cover my entire face and neck area. Once applied, I was able to get about 8 hours of wear out of it, and I thought it looked pretty dang good after those 8 hours. No shine, and no build up in any crease areas. The one downfall I noticed is if you don't set your foundation with powder afterwards it can tend to rub off on your clothes or hands after a while. But that's only if your cool like me and like to touch your face.
The overall size of the tube of foundation is the smallest one I own to date. When I first picked it up I thought I might need to grab a couple tubes to last me a few months. The container is 1 fl oz but I've been using this product for a solid month and I think I still have a few more weeks. The price is totally reasonable. I picked this up at my local Walgreens for $6.99 a tube, along with the face primer from this line, which is also $6.99.
Verdict
I definatly LOVE this product. I can say the one thing that got me to buy this product was the matte factor. I had just recently been using a brand of BB cream that left my skin feeling super oily underneath my foundation and the matte look appealed to me. The price for the amount and quality is spot on, and I will defiantly be repurchasing this product again. If you've tried this foundation let me know your thoughts in the comments box below.
